Dog friendly which is a great convenience when you travel with your little ones. Very sweet local cafe. Most of the clients are regular which makes the atmosphere homy and relaxed. Lovely team, very attentive when it comes to placing an order. At 11:00 on Saturday cafe was busy but buzzing just enough. Decent choice of pastries and light breakfast. Great capuchino

My favourite place to have a coffee and a treat in St Albans. Lovely friendly staff. Great large coffees, with great selection of cakes. Loved boiled eggs and soldiers and advocate chilly toast.

We came on a Sunday when the vintage market was on and it was very busy! However they were handling this really well. We both ordered the avocado on toast as they were sadly out of the jacket potatoes. They asked whether we wanted the garlic and chilli flakes on top and I was able to request mine without black pepper. I also order a pistachio latter which was amazing it was nice and creamy and not too sweet. I really enjoyed my food and drink and the experience. I will be coming back to try the jacket potatoes!

I have been using the Cafe Roma in St Peter's Street Albans for many years. It's situated near St Catherine's St and handy for the market and shops. But under the previous long-term owners, the place was looking a little tired. However, the new owners have given the place a much needed makeover. They offer delicious snacks, cakes, and sandwiches. Their coffees are great and there are plenty of choices of other hot and cold drinks. Their toasted mozzarella and tomato sandwich is my favourite snack if I want a quick bite to eat.. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The coffee bar has a step free access but the customer toilet facilities are up two steps at the rear of the shop.

My hot chocolate was very nice. The staff was nicer than my hot chocolate. And the hot chocolate was something different. There was even a cat on my hot chocolate. Remember to take your lids of your drinks for a wonderful surprise.

I stop by this coffee shop early in the mornings on my way to work—usually just after 6.30 a.m.—and it’s honestly one of the best parts of my day. I’m always greeted with a smile, and it’s not just the coffee that keeps me coming back (though it’s excellent), but the warm, friendly atmosphere. There’s something about starting your morning with great coffee and a kind interaction that just sets the tone right. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for not only a good brew, but also good vibes.
